IntellixIQ.AI ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

• Email address (required for email signup)
• Phone number (optional, for phone-based signup)
• Display name (chosen by you)
• Google account ID (if you sign in with Google)
• Country/region (for regional leaderboards)

Learning Activity

• Quiz answers and scores
• XP points, level, and streak data
• Subject preferences (Finance, Technology)
• IQ score and topic progress
• Weekly quiz completions

Usage Data

• App interactions (screens visited, features used)
• Session timestamps
• Device type and operating system (iOS / Android)

Payment Information

• If you subscribe to Premium, purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive a transaction confirmation and subscription status only — we never see or store your payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To deliver personalised questions based on your subject preferences
• To calculate and display your IQ score, XP, level, and leaderboard ranking
• To send OTP codes and password reset emails (transactional only)
• To process Premium subscription status
• To improve the quality of AI-generated questions and app performance

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data only with the following service providers who help us operate the app:

• AWS (Amazon Web Services) — cloud hosting and database storage (US region)
• OpenAI — AI question generation (question topics only; no personal data is sent)
• Resend — transactional email delivery (OTPs, password resets)
• Twilio — SMS OTP delivery (phone number, one-time code)
• Google — OAuth sign-in (if you choose to sign in with Google)
• Apple / Google Play — in-app purchase processing

All providers are contractually bound to use your data only to provide their services to us.

4. Leaderboards

Your display name, IQ score, XP, level, and region are visible to other users on the global and regional leaderboards. You can change your display name at any time in your Profile settings.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and learning data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Object to certain types of processing
• Export your data in a portable format

You can also delete your account directly in the app: go to Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account.

7. Children's Privacy

IntellixIQ.AI is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted data transmission (TLS), hashed password storage (bcrypt), hashed OTP codes, and rate limiting on authentication endpoints. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
